To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the Regional Sales Manager opportunity, you will have:
  • A bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Quick question for you - click here
  • 2+ years of security sales experience with access control and/or video systems. The ideal candidate will have direct B2B sales experience, but if you have strong technical knowledge and client-facing experience along with the drive to earn new business, we encourage you to apply.   • Channel management experience is preferred, and integrator sales experience for access control and video systems would be helpful.
  • A track record of prospecting, qualifying, signing up and supporting customers; demonstrated success meeting and exceeding a quota.
  • Ability to travel 40%-60% throughout the territory, including overnight travel. Experience managing a large territory preferred.

Strong territory growth is the mission

As Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a five-state, Texas-based territory. You will leverage detailed knowledge of current AMAG Symmetry hardware and software components, as well as knowledge of components and systems supported through integration (such as DVRs, IP cameras, IDS systems) as you actively prospect, sign up, cultivate and grow new dealers and resellers in the territory. You will meet with customers and prospects throughout the territory, regularly demonstrating the Symmetry hardware and software for security consultants, system integrators, end-users, and other interested parties. In addition to the qualifications described under The Requirements tab, you will need:
  • Experience using a consultative approach to selling solutions.
  • Solid communication skills.
  • Strong self-motivation.
  • Solid computer skills including Google Suite or similar and CRM software preferred
You should count on spending three or four days a week out in the field, driving and flying when necessary. You also will travel to industry trade shows and for other reasons. We provide a car allowance and fuel card. Most RSMs spend Friday in the office following up, documenting activities, etc. but you'll have the autonomy to run your assignment as needed to maximize your success.

More about your success
If you're the person we're looking for, you understand that this role requires a combination of sales skills and technical savvy. You should be comfortable interacting with a variety of people, including dealers, IT professionals and C-level executives. As a member of the larger RSM team, you should be willing to share knowledge and help team members out as needed.
