You will work remotely from your home office and travel, as required, to support Sales during the discovery and solution portion of the sales cycle. You can be based anywhere in the U.S. as long as you are near a major airport.

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the Enterprise Solutions Engineer opportunity, you will have the following required skills:
  • A bachelor’s degree, ideally in a related technical field; we may consider outstanding experience in lieu of a degree
  • 5 years of relevant experience in a technical role, such as a sales engineer, requiring strong customer-facing and problem-solving skills
  • Security industry experience including a minimum of one year of Access Control System experience
  • A minimum of one year of experience including at least one of the following systems is required:
    • Physical Identity and Access Management (PIAM) Solutions
    • Command and Control PSIM Solutions
  • The ability to engage with end users to design integrated solutions that meet their particular needs is critical to the role. As such, a deep understanding of software integrations and the various integration components, such as databases, API’s/SDK’s, etc. is required.
  • A broad, general technical knowledge of computer hardware and software, virtualization, redundancy, network communication, etc. is required. 
  • A general understanding of cybersecurity and encryption is required. 
  • Experience with building documentation, such as SOW’s, RFP’s and pricing proposals
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to define solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work effectively with Sales and other cross-functional internal teams and external customers
  • Ability to travel up to 50%. Travel ebbs and flows depending on the phase of the sales cycle and the number of opportunities underway. Currently, sales presentations and discovery meetings are held remotely, but we expect travel to resume once it is safe
Preferred, but not required:
  • Data and/or video analytics experience 
  • Programming experience 
  • SQL scripting experience 
  • Knowledge of various communications protocols, such as JSON, XML is a plus.

Join the Enterprise Solutions Group Responsible for Managing AMAG's Largest & Most Complex Sales Opportunities

Reporting to the Vice President of Product Management, you will join a talented, high-impact team including Sales professionals and other sales engineers. The team represents AMAG Technology's leading Access Control and related security products, including Video, Identity & Access Management, Visitor, Command and Control (“PSIM”), and Incident Management Solutions. The engineer in this role will be responsible for working with some of AMAG's most high-profile customers, helping them to mitigate risk and save cost using our latest technology solutions, such as AMAG's new mobile application and data analytics platform, both introduced in 2020. 

Sales team members are responsible for managing the customer relationship and extended sales cycle. The sales engineer is responsible for providing technical product demonstrations, building the scope of work, producing pricing quotations, and any other technical aspects of the sale. These are large opportunities and you'll typically enter the process in the second phase, once the opportunity has been validated by the salesperson. While your Sales partner will focus on developing the relationship, you'll take a tactical, task-oriented approach when building the solution.

Your specific responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting in-depth product demonstrations of AMAG’s range of products, with more emphasis on AMAG’s Identity/Visitor Management, PSIM, and Incident Management Systems.
  • Working with internal stakeholders and the prospective customer to design and document a complete Scope of Work for a specific project.
  • Producing detailed quotations, based on an existing Scope of Work.
  • Engaging in discussions related to the design and development of various integrations in support of a project.
  • Designing Highly Available/Redundant server solutions to meet a customer’s redundancy and Disaster Recovery requirements.
  • Managing AMAG’s responses to large Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) that have been initiated by prospective customers.
  • Communicating customer requirements to the Product Management teams.
  • Attending and presenting the product line and all features to customers at events such as conferences and trade shows.
  • Traveling to meet with customers and attend trade shows etc. The majority of the travel will be within the continental United States, with some international travel on occasion.
